Breakfast Spots in Folsom, CA
From family favorites to boozy brunches, Folsom has got some great breakfast options. Here are our favorites along with some others to consider.
Friends With Benedicts Mimosa House
After the smashing success of their El Dorado Hills location, Friends with Benedicts has found another home in Folsom. Located in Palladio Center, this upscale casual has a fantastic menu specializing in, you guessed it, Eggs Benedicts. They’ve got a dozen varieties, including one with crabcakes, drizzled with Sriracha. It is amazing! They’ve also got an expansive menu of traditional and Mexican favorites. Wash it all down with a giant, full-bottle mimosa (bring a friend).
Karen’s Bakery & Cafe
This spot in Folsom’s Historic District is popular with those enjoying Folsom’s lakes and trails. Cyclists ride the trail from Sacramento, along the American River, and end up on Karen’s large patio for a hearty and healthy meal. Their kitchen turns out inventive breakfast and lunch options, including the smoked salmon scramble, and a baby spinach salad topped with bacon, croutons, and a perfectly poached egg. It’s casual, energetic and fun.
Gold Miner Cafe
For nearly 30 years, the Gold Miner has been a local family favorite. Located in a nondescript shopping center, you might miss it as you drive through town. It’s definitely worth a stop. They’ve got lots of traditional favorites, but manage to offer something for everyone. Try the Tostada Omelet, with chiles, cheese, sour cream and tortilla strips.
