The Season of Memories in Music

Sacramento’s premier handbell ensemble of 25 years, RiverBells, comes to Stage 2 of The Harris Center for the Performing Arts with a diverse and engaging concert of seasonal music for all ages.

The performance features our longtime founding director, Paul W. Allen, as well as 15 musicians, 75 English handbells and 75 handchimes. Begun in the Fall, 1998, though its membership morphs each year, it has continued as a unique, intergenerational group of 15 professional-quality musicians.

Our concert focuses on seasonal melodies, original music written idiomatically for the handbell, as well as arrangements of recognizable classics. This concert scans the spectrum of our repertoire and our abilities and will satisfy every taste.
