Celebrate one of the region’s favorite wine grapes
The 12th annual Amador Barbera Festival is heading to Folsom on August 16th! Produced by the Amador Vintners’ Association, this year’s festival marks a change of scenery. Previously held in Amador County, organizers decided to bring the event closer to customers and host it in a more upscale venue.
Prepare for a world of elegance and excitement at the Barbera Wine Experience, celebrating National Barbera Day!
A Foothill Favorite
Barbera truly thrives in the Sierra foothills. With its warm days and cool nights, the climate mirrors that of Piemonte, Italy, Barbera’s birthplace. These wines are known for their naturally high acidity and low tannins, which allow their bright fruit flavors to shine. This makes Barbera a refreshing, “juicy” wine that’s quickly becoming one of California’s most popular varietals. It’s even becoming the signature wine of Amador County, with dozens of wineries now producing it.
The festival will feature over 40 wineries, pouring everything from deep reds to rosés, sparkling, and even white Barbera. In addition to fantastic wine (and a brewery!), you can expect gourmet appetizers, live music, a photo booth, a swag bag, and a beautiful commemorative glass to take home.
Don’t miss this historic debut of the Amador Barbera Festival in Folsom—it’s bound to be a night you’ll never forget!
