A Family Friendly Event for 61 Years
It’s time once again for the Folsom Pro Rodeo. This family-friendly patriotic event has been happening on the 4th of July weekend for 61 years.
Mutton busting, comedy, barrel racing, nightly fireworks and live music at the Saloon Under the Stars make this a can’t-miss event.
Before the rodeo, there are a few events that are bound to get you in the spirit.
Home Town Radio Show
The Home Town Radio Show is a Grand Old Opry Style Radio Show celebrating the history of Country Music. This is a multi artist show featuring some of the best country musicians on the west coast.
Expect a chronology of songs made famous by the likes of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Hank Williams, to the music of modern country pop artists like Alabama, Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Pardon. They’ll then take you through the Country Rock era with the song of the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt to current artists like Chris Stapleton and Maren Morris.
It’s all happening this Friday, at the Zittel Family Amphitheater in Folsom’s Historic District. The event is free, and family friendly. More info here
Home Town Parade
Don’t miss this old fashioned parade, with over 50 entries, featuring cowboys, cowgirls, horse-drawn wagons, classic cars, music and more. The parade runs down Sutter Street in Folsom’s beautiful Historic District. suIt Bring a lawn chair, and enjoy.
Ride Into the Music Festival
Start your rodeo weekend off with the Ride into the Music Festival! This event features some of the best stars in country music, including Chris Lane, Tyler Rich, Canaan Smith, and the official band of the Folsom Pro Rodeo, Moonshine Crazy. Get your tickets here

When the pre-gaming is done, it’s time for the rodeo. Now in it’s 61st year, the Folsom Pro Rodeo is an annual family favorite.
