Heard Around Folsom’s got some good stuff for you this weekend!

The calendar says it’s still winter, but it sure looks and feels like spring out there!  We’ll have temperatures in the mid to upper 60’s this weekend, making it a great time to get out of the house and enjoy some great events and activities. Here are a few suggestions to help you along the way…

gaslight

… How about starting off with an outdoor happy hour? Gaslight has a nice one from 3 to 6 Monday through Friday, and you can take your drink and sit out on the balcony above the street. Stay for the live music…

lost trail

… Run it off the next morning at the annual Lost Trail Half Marathon and 5k at Granite Bay on Folsom Lake. It’s a beautiful course. Go ahead, you can do it! …

Winter-Wine-adventure-banner

… A short drive away, Carson Road Wineries will be having their winter wine adventure, which includes wine tasting, food pairing and a fun scavenger hunt at 12 wineries…

tap folsom

… Get your beer (and more wine) on at the TapFolsom Rad Winter Brew Fest.  Where your 80’s gear if it still fits, or even if it doesn’t, we won’t judge. Head out to Palladio for this fun, 80’s themed event featuring over 40 breweries, local wineries, food and DJ spinning your new wave and old school jams…

powerhouse mardi gras

… Afterward, head on over to Powerhouse Pub for an amazing Mardi Gras party. The evening starts of with dueling pianos at 7pm and later, the Pop Fiction band.  5 bars, 3 dance floors, and no cover before 9 or if you have the Tap Folsom wristband….

the godfather

…. Here’s an offer you can’t refuse, one of my favorite movies of all time (no not Dumb and Dumber) the Godfather is playing at the Palladio 16 theater this Sunday! Ranked number 3 on the American Film Institute’s list of the greatest movies ever made, this gangster epic boosted or launched the careers of  Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, James Caan, and Robert Duvall. Sunday matinee at 1230 is only eight bucks!…

back bistro sunday brunch

… pop in for a drink and a bite before or after on the patio at the Back Bistro right next door. Try their new Sunday Brunch with bottomless mimosas…

dennis jones

… if you want to go out with a bang, go check out the amazing Dennis Jones at Powerhouse Pub, playing Sunday from 3 to 6pm, and stick around for the open blues jam at 7…

my open house ad

… It’s also a great time to check out the housing market, and there are dozens open houses in  Folsom this weekend. Go out and kick some tires. Let me know if you need more info.

And that, my friends, is a taste of what’s going on around Folsom this weekend.

Got a tip, a tidbit, or want to buy a house? I’m your guy.

Drop me a line.
