Thanksgiving Stuff to do, Off the Beaten Path…

Thanksgiving

Hey folks, it’s Thanksgiving weekend, my favorite time of year.  I get to enjoy the 5 F’s, Family, Friends, Food, Football and Fwine!.. Here are some ideas for fun stuff to do over the next few days….

turkey trot

First up, the Folsom Turkey Trot. This annual event features 5k and 10k courses. Proceed benefit local charities, including the good works of the Twin Lakes Food Bank. It looks like we might have clear weather, and there’s still time to sign up at the Folsom Community Center until 6pm Wednesday…

… Saturday is small business Saturday, and there is no better place than the ambiance of Historic Folsom, where you will find “one-of-a-kind” specialty items, be able to support your local entrepreneurs, and eat and drink at the finest local restaurants. Vote for your favorite window decorations, and enter to wine a stay at a B&B…

flb

On Sunday, you can check out the 49ers vs the Ravens at FLB Sports Bar.  Such a great place to watch the game, with 36 flat screens, 2 bars, drink and food specials (the Sriracha rubbed wings, extra crispy, please), friendly bartenders, and a pretty fine Bloody Mary..

Whatever you end up doing, I wish you a happy Thanksgiving. Keep it safe, take a Lyft or Uber when you’re out partying!
