It’s Mother’s Day Weekend, and Heard Around Folsom’s got some great tips for you! Celebrate mom all weekend, and kick it off at the Powerhouse Pub to with the Wonderbread 5. WB5 is Sac’s fun and favorite party band, playing the hits from the 70’s to now. Come see how mom used to dance. You won’t forget it. Ever… Saturday walk or run it off at the Love My Mom run. It’s a nice flat 5k starting and ending at Whole Foods in Palladio Center. Register on-site until 8pm Friday, or after 630am Saturday… afterward, maybe head up to El Dorado Hills Town Center for the annual
Art, Beer, and Wine Festival. Over 80 artists and a couple of dozen wineries and breweries combine for a fun and somewhat classy casual experience. Remember when it was all wine, then they added one brewery? Not any more. Lotsa beer now, too… Sunday’s the official Mom’s day, and if she’s not worn out, take her out for brunch. Things are booking up, but you might want to try Sienna or Land Ocean. They do a fantastic job.. A great way to wind down the evening is with the Vivian Lee Quartet at the CLARA center on Sunday evening… as for me, I’m doing the run with Mrs., and buying my 90 year old mom a new laptop. She’s worn out the old one. I’m in charge of training. Wish me luck…. Anyway, to all of the mom’s out there, I want you to know that you are the most important figures in humanity. We can’t do it without you. Have a sweet and safe one…
