Interesting stuff coming up…Folsom Parks & Rec is hosting a community workshop for the Proposed Humbug-Willow Creek Trail Crossing. They’re considering erecting a bridge to enable cyclists and pedestrians to cross Folsom Blvd to access the trails. As one who’s been frequently stuck at that crossing signal long after a cyclist has passed, I’m all for it. Have an opinion, want to learn more? Be at the Folsom Community Center this Thursday, the 22nd ant 630p… If the city website is correct, that same date and time they’ll be holding a brainstorming and planning meeting for the annual Community Service Day. They’re looking for ideas for projects. I’m thinking maybe cleaning up our trails. What do you think?…Can hardly wait for Folsom’s Annual Eggstravaganza on March 31. It’s a fun event for families, and pretty amazing to see 4 fields scattered with 25,000 eggs, separated by age group, wiped out in a matter of seconds. When it comes to gettin’ candy, those kids are fast and efficient… Speaking of eggs, there’s a great exhibit at the Folsom’s Gallery at 48 Natoma. ‘Which Came First?’ features a series of imaginative chicken and rooster paintings by Loretta Armstrong, mixed-media drawings and paintings of chickens and Ukranian eggs by Karen Hunziker, and beautiful Pysanky painted eggs by Teresa Mihalko Harbert… Just a bit outside, you can Sip into Spring on the Placer Wine Trail. Twenty bucks gets you a souvenir glass and tastings at the member wineries…Got a tip or tidbit you think the should know about? Let me know, and if I agree, I’ll post it here and/or our Facebook page.
