Folsom Lake Water Level Now at 113% of Average

Folsom lake level may 2 2016

Folsom Lake is now holding about 828,000 acre feet of water, which is about 85% of total capacity and 113% of average.

Last year at this time, the lake was at about 55% of capacity.

The lake level usually peaks around the beginning of June, with most of the Sierra snow pack melting away.

We may not be out of the drought, but it’s so much better than last year.
