There are some great Holiday Happenings in Folsom this weekend, and they’re bound to get you in the spirit of the season!
Friday, the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, along with the Folsom Premium Outlets is hosting a Community Holiday Party, to benefit the Sleeptrain Foster Kids Program and the Twin Lakes Food Bank. Free food and drink, including Hot Chocolate Bar, a visit from Santa, and great raffle prizes and gift card prize give-aways every 15 minutes.
It’s all happening in and in front of the food court at the Outlets, Friday December 11 from 3pm to 5pm.
Bring an unwrapped toy and/or canned food and be part of the spirit of giving!
Saturday morning, join the fun at Prancer’s Pancake Breakfast. This fun event will feature breakfast, special guests, and photos with Santa. Proceeds benefit Blue Heart International, a non-profit organization with the goal of providing survivors of human trafficking a place to work, live, and learn what it means to be loved for the first time.
Tickets are just $5, and available at the door. Event runs from 9am to noon at the Folsom Community Center.
For something completely different, you can work off those hot cakes Saturday Night at the Powerhouse Pub’s Bad Santa Bash, featuring the Get Lucky Band. Free admission for those in costume until 9pm. Bring a coat to donate for senior project.
Want something more civilized? On Friday and Saturday, head to the Folsom Historic District’s annual Holiday Home Tour.
The 2015 Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour features nine charming historic sites beautifully decorated for the holidays. Within the nine sites, you’ll also find a wonderful art and hand-crafted holiday gift boutique at the Murer House, docents in period clothing and an opportunity to enjoy the season as you step back in time. A special holiday highlight will include the 100-year celebration of the Granite School site. Plus keep a look out for Frosty the Snowman to make an appearance again this year…such a big hit last year with his debut!
Tickets are $20, and available at Dorothea’s, the History Museum, or at Not Too Shabby, and also at the Murer House.
Don’t forget that Santa will be touring Folsom neighborhoods starting on December 13th. Find out when he’ll be in your area here.
Also, the Historic District Ice Rink is running daily until 10pm.
