Folsom resident Candy Miller and Keller Williams Realty were among the honorees at the Folsom Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards luncheon, March 26 at Oak Hills Church.
The awards luncheon, usually held at the Lake Natoma Inn, was moved to Oak Hills Church, due to high ticket demand.
Over 300 were in attendance as MyFolsom.com had the honor of presenting the ‘Folsom Champion’ award to Candy Miller, who has volunteered for the Folsom Historic District Committee, the Folsom History Museum, and countless events in the Historic District for over 20 years.
The ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award, which usually goes to an individual, was for the first time given to a company, Keller Williams Realty. Folsom Chamber Vice President Dawn Johnson said, ‘Keller Williams Realty agents have volunteered for every Chamber of Commerce event, whether they were fundraisers or to educate the community. They really give back to the community and they think about serving the community first, rather than just trying to get business.”
The Folsom Chamber of Commerce awards are given annually to those recognized as being devoted to the city of Folsom and the business community.
