The City of Folsom Park and Rec department put together a ‘glow run’, not knowing exactly what to expect.
What they got was 1100 glowing participants running, walking and dancing their way from the Historic District, across Lake Natoma, through Negro Bar Park and back.
The run was a fundraiser for the Folsom Parks and Recreation programs and will help the department keep providing great events and community services.
Glow sticks, glow glasses, glow necklaces and a glowing Silly String station lit up the night and made for quite a spectacle.
Folsom Community Services Director Susanne Linnane quoted one child as saying, ‘This was the best day of my life!”.
Congrats to the Folsom Park and Rec Department and the Historic District for pulling off another great Folsom experience.
The run will be back next year.
