Zoning has been approved of a hotel over by Highway 50 and Folsom Boulevard, behind Larkspur Landing. Residents and preservationists were opposed to such a project, which will remove many oak trees and encroach the “Chinese Diggings” area. Council members Starsky, Miklos, and Morin approved the project.
