2009 was a wild year, but the good news is that Folsom is in decent shape, financially. Unemployment is at 5.7%, while neighbors like Rancho Cordova are as high as 14.2. The mayor is concerned about the state budget’s impact on local city levels, as 2010 doesn’t look to be much better from the public sector.
