A mountain lion was sighted at Negro Bar on Sunday – it approached a group of boy scout campers and stole a backpack; the incident was captured on police scanner. Mountain lions are rare but not unheard of in this area. A mountain lion was also spotted by construction workers when the new bridge was being built.
