Folsom’s City Budget Includes New Positions

Despite the economic problems of the state, the city of Folsom is benefitting from increased sales tax, water rates, sewer rates, garbage rates, and property taxes. With $12 million more to use than last year, the city is able to build a city library and downtown parking structure, and hire more employees. This includes 5 new police officers, 5 new crime analysts, and additional funds for the Fire Department. More is in the Bee.
