Debbie English-Deason learned the hard way… make sure you get the city’s blessing in writing before you start work. English-Deason spent over $600,000 in restoring a house in the historic district, after planning staff recommended approval of Decadence Spa. A similar spa is located on Percifer Street, which was approved in March 2000. Unfortunately, neighbors opposed, and the city then denied the appeal 5-0. More is in the Bee.
