City Council OK’s Homeless Shelters in Folsom
Folsom City Council approved 4-0 for religious organizations to create homeless shelters without the need for a permit on Tuesday. As early as November 8, religious organizations will be able to provide shelter to the homeless, provided that it is not within 300 feet of a day care facility or public school, among other things. The ordinance was drafted in help with Powerhouse ministries, which reaches out to the families and neighbors of prisoners. More in the Bee.
