Folsom High School Hosts ‘Every 15 Minutes’ DUI Campaign
Every 15 minutes, someone dies from an alcohol-related car accident.
Folsom High students participated with Placer County Chaplaincy and local police in a national alcohol awareness project on Wednesday, April 24. A staged car accident was displayed in front of Folsom High, where 2 students “died” and others were badly injured. Some students were called out of class every 15 minutes as one of the ‘walking dead’ to symbolize the statistics. An assembly was later held at the school where students learned first-hand the effects of driving under the influence.
Pictures from the event can be viewed here. (Watch out, they are pretty realistic and very graphic)
