Bailie's
Restaurant and Bar

This is the most inconspicuous and yet fantastic place to dine in all of Folsom. You wouldn’t know it driving by, but duck inside this special place and peek behind the curtain; you’ll be transported in time back to a hip, romantically intimate, little dining room (complete with martini bar) that seems like a classy, jumping joint right out of 1940s San Francisco. Indulgences are a plenty here! Incredible are their martinis. More incredible is their food.

Here, the fresh baked bread melts on your tongue. And, if you like seared Ahi,
Bailie's is the best place in town to get it. The chefs do such a nice job with it, they put it on the menu twice; you can order it as an appetizer or an entrée.
An ample menu, Bailies has something for everyone – including delightful salads and even a burger option. But, for me, next to the Ahi, and depending if sea scallops are featured as the daily special, my favorite has to be the wild mushroom fettuccine! And for you? Take your pick, from plenty of steak options, salmon, shrimp, pasta, and even pork chops.
This is an excellent restaurant to take a date for an extended cocktail hour that might just turn into a romantically long and savory dinner. Groups of adults wanting an evening out and away from the kids would enjoy spending time in this restaurant! It’s not a place I picture young children having much fun, but the wait staff does treat everyone just like they’re family.
Bailies also boasts an excellent wine list and treats their micro-brew selection with care to boot! Bailies is open every day except Sunday. During the week, you can also try Bailies for lunch. Reservations are a must for Friday and Saturday nights and strongly recommended on weeknights too.
