MyFolsom.Com was started in the summer of 2000, with the goal of
creating a community website which brought people together, and was
a great resource for visitors and residents alike. It was created by
John & Annie Gladding of Folsom, along with Wayne & Shirley
Kuykendall of Folsom. It currently is maintained and operated by
John Gladding. We get asked often if we are officially
affilliated with the City of
Folsom, however we have no ties with the city other than we live
here. :-)
When the site was
initially launched, it was a small website all about Folsom, with a
community forum to discuss Folsom events. All it took was one
controversial topic (affordable housing), and the word spread
quickly. The rest, as they say... is history.
Over the course of the years, MyFolsom.com
has seen a number of
milestones - most recently it won 2 Dottie Awards, as well as
registering 3,500 members. As of March 2008, we get around 350,000
page views a month, and most people have at least heard of us by
now!
We hope you enjoy
this website as much as we do. We feel Folsom is a wonderful
community and still wish to share it with residents and visitors
